The TradEdge is designed to help stock traders in making profitable trading decisions.

"TradEdge" means
  • A PC based client called TradEdge
  • A PC based module of "TradEdge" called Multiple Strategy Backtesting System (MSBT) that can generate, in real-time, buy-sell signals.
  • About 50 server based applications representing analytical tools, that end-uses can access.
  • Several server based applications that run in background monitored by a team of technical people.

A very large global, full-service financial firm, providing live market information to traders & corporations around the world. The core services include automated decision making for a financial traders & corporations.
  The Challenge
The system consists of about 50 modules which can belong of following different categories
  • Technical Analysis
  • Fundamental Analysis
  • Risk Management
  • Portfolio
  • Scanners - Trend, Signal identifying datamining tool
  • Realtime Buy-sell signal generation using user-customized strategies
  • Automatically generated commentaries
The challenge lay in making a cohesive unit of above links.
  Recommended Solution
Detailed design documentation was prepared, taking care of each client and server side issue. After design approval, each individual module was developed as per the design document.

  • Covers upto top 5000 stocks from NASDAQ, NYSE and AMEX. Actual number of stocks covered by a given tool depends on complexity of the tool and capacity of servers.
